The West Norfolk Branch of the National Autistic Society was launched in 2007 by a group of local parents who all had children with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
It continues today, still run by volunteers. The committee are all parents or carers of someone with autism, or are on the autistic spectrum themselves.
Our branch has over 200 members who are scattered across a wide area: from Hunstanton to Downham Market, from Swaffham to Wisbech.
Whether you have a child on the autistic spectrum, or are an adult with autism yourself, we would love you to join us.
Becoming a member of NAS West Norfolk is easy and FREE!
Membership is open to anyone caring for someone with a diagnosis of autism, or on the waiting list for assessment for autism. If you are an adult on the autistic spectrum yourself, you are also very welcome.
What do we offer:
- We arrange various activities for families affected by ASD such as swimming, gym play sessions, roller skating, play barn sessions, Christmas party, music sessions.
- For the parents/carers we have day time coffee mornings, training courses, workshops & regular guest speakers who are experts in supporting ASD.
The most important thing that NAS West Norfolk offers is support & friendship with environments where ASD is understood and accepted.
